As Mindrolling Monastery’s Golden Jubilee celebration in India approached, a great deal of happy preparation took place everywhere.

In accordance with tradition, 30 monks undertook the filling of the zung of the one thousand statues of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen Gyurme Kunzang Wangyal — made especially for the Golden Jubilee by the ladrang — while others performed various sadhanas to lay the ground for the coming celebration.

Dharmashri Publications of Mindrolling International published a beautiful commemorative book, which contains many precious photographs and memories of Mindrolling Monastery, its founders, monks, nuns, celebrations, rituals, empowerments, and its centres around the world.

All areas of the monastery were made ready for the thousands of guests arriving from near and far. The Great Stupa for World Peace was completely restored, and many areas of the main monastery were painted and renovated. Almost every building received a fresh coat of paint, and plans were laid to provide accommodation and meals for each and every guest.

Mindrolling extends special thanks and appreciation for the tireless efforts of all monks, nuns and members of the staff who worked diligently for months in preparing the many aspects of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
